Talk About Hot

OK someone needs to explain something to me.

Why is it when the weather gets so hot all people can talk about is how hot the whether is?

I mean on a nice "normal" day people don't give two hoots or it's just a small part of the conversation it just seems unclear to me.

My brain is getting terribly foggy and I have nothing more to say so
